to himself
Keo Woolford is a multi-disciplinary artist from Hawai'i. His
resume is long and well deserved; Theatre credits include Pacific
Overtures, Heading East, In My Father's House (Virgo Award-Best
Actor), Bitter Cane, Karaoke Stories and The Greeks.
Keo recently starred as the King of Siam in a revival of The
King And I at the London Palladium in London's West End, playing
over 350 performances opposite Elaine Paige and Josie Lawrence.
Keo has appeared in films and television productions like True
Vengeance, Social Grace, Happy, Texas and Hawai'i. As a pop
vocalist, he was a member of the group Brownskin (Hawai'i's
equivalent to N-Sync). Keo is also a prolific songwriter with
several number one songs by various recording artists in Hawai'i.
As a part of the Hobo House Recording Team, Keo was nominated
for a Grammy Award in 2002 for Best Reggae Album. His songs
are featured in the films Kids In America and No One Will Ever
Know.
Keo is also a dancer for Robert Cazimero's Halau Na Kamalei
who recently won first place in the kahiko (traditional), auana
(modern), overall men and overall festival categories at the
2005 Merrie Monarch Hula Competition in Hilo, Hawai'i.
Currently, Keo is performing on stage with excerpts from his
inspirational and profound play titled, I Land. Written and
performed by Keo, I Land is a one-man-show that will certify
his many gifted talents and display an array of introspective
messages to the world of many genres.
